Fastnet Lighthouse
Built in 1853, Fastnet is the tallest lighthouse in Ireland located on its most southerly point.
Fastnet Lighthouse is a 54 metre or 177 feet tall lighthouse situated on the remote Fastnet Rock in the Atlantic Ocean. It is the most southerly point of Ireland and lies 6.5 kilometres or 4 miles southwest of Cape Clear Island and 13 kilometres or 8 miles from Cork. The current lighthouse is the second to be built on the rock and is the tallest in Ireland.
